Experimental metal outfit Mamaleek announce their new album Diner Coffee and release an ominous new single 'Boiler Room'. Originally a duo of anonymous brothers, Mamaleek have been deconstructing metal music rearranging it into bizarre and abstract compositions for a number of records, following on from 2020's Come and See this new record sees the band incorporating a variety of more collaborative recording techniques including live band performances, improvisations, samples, field recordings and utilising horns and woodwind instruments. A perpetual atmosphere of darkness pervades the new track 'Boiler Room', opening with a sinister jazzy groove that creeps between spidery Lynchian verses and malevolent doom riffs, accompanied by flailing horns and harsh indeterminable vocals, grunted and spat like curses - it is a coarse mixture of genres and styles that sounds truly unique.
