Taken from her upcoming album, London-based singer-songwriter Lynda Dawn brings the flavour of classic soul to the modern era, in the form of ‘Move’. Her passionate voice fills the centre of the track, but Chaka Kahn-esque falsetto harmonies fill every other moment with melody, while the nostalgic instrumentation dances in the background, virtually unchanging. The track currently features as part of the Brownswood Bubblers Thirteen compilation (digital release out now, with physical copies coming on November 30^th), compiled by Gilles Peterson, where she sits alongside artists such as Puma Blue and Sonnymoon. -Dan Peeke
