As if catapulted back into the 80's, Danish synth pop act Lucaley make alternative pop music stuffed full of intricate drum machines, fizzing synths and airy vocals. Their new single 'Earth' is entirely catchy and inventive, with one foot in the experimental and one in more traditional euro-pop. At each turning the pair have added electronic quirks and breakdowns which never cease to intrigue, and there is something inherently rousing in each vocal hook. It is dizzyingly disorientating in places but we like that 'Earth' is an escape that could accompany any activity. If you are looking for a early week pick-me-up or new running song, this could be it. - SJ
