Let’s Eat Grandma have everyone under the thumb at the moment – including Wolf Alice’s Joel Amey, who has unleashed his remix of ‘Eat Shiitake Mushrooms’. Virtually unrecognisable, the drummer has transformed the song into a dub/drum machine-heavy mix that takes the duo’s alternative pop to a whole new level.  “Let’s Eat Grandma are my kind of band,” Joel has stated. “Weird in the most wonderful way, I find it very inspiring that two young women are making such interesting pop music in an age where everyone seems very happy to turn in the same sounds/songs/structures.” The original track is taken from Let’s Eat Grandma’s debut I Gemini, to be released on June 17^th. -JE
