We don't profess to know a huge amount about this new band from Brisbane, LEØ, but what we can say, is their new song 'The Wolf' left us pretty awestruck when we first heard it this morning. Take it from us, listening to a sub-four-minute sliver of touching, downtempo electronic-pop is your new favourite way to start the day. LEØ are a trio of nineteen year-olds, Chloe Pilkington, Callum MacDonald and Josh Black, who released their first song, 'Linger', a couple of months ago to pretty minimal fanfare. 'The Wolf' looks set to change all that, with its blend of heartfelt lyricism, sweetly haunting vocals and oddly uplifting instrumentation - resonant slide guitars are always a winner - they'll win over fans of Oh Wonder, XYLØ and Bon Iver in no time. Pull back the curtains and stick this on repeat, the world isn't such a shithole after all. - DC
