Sometimes, a special voice can be all a song needs to make it really remarkable. Sometimes, there’s a special voice, a stunning instrumental backing, with impressive songwriting to boot. Exactly that arrives today courtesy of London’s Lazy Day. The 4 piece’s new single ‘Disappear’ drifts along at a welcoming pace, with singer Tilly Scantlebury’s arresting vocal turns keeping the listener locked in from the get go. Set to a backdrop of reverb-laden guitars, the track then switches around the half way mark into a 90’s grunge inflected beast. ‘Disappear’ is set for a 4th November 7” release via Lost Map and the quartet will be playing a select few live dates in the coming weeks, details of which can be found here. -JC
