5^th Season is the latest album from French quartet La Fine Equipe and features their signature stylistic blend (after all, the group merges the talents of Mr Gib, oOgo, Chomsky and Blanka) as well as featured artist Unno on ‘I Thought’. This trip hop tune gives a distinctively unique treatment to the vocals that sit atop a spinning beat that combines futuristic percussion with an underpinning, virtually Baroque harpsichord. Despite releasing the new album to rave reviews and a long series of upcoming live shows, the band still showed humble appreciation: “we’ve been waiting for this day for so long, we want to thank everybody that is involved in the creation of this new baby”. -Dan Peeke
