Having loved Samaris' debut album of Icelandic electronica that we were sent last month (out 10th June) we're pleased to hear that lead singer Jófríður hasn't been resting on her laurels as she lends her vocals to Sykur’s Kristján Eldjárn's new project KRELD. The collaborative product is video and single 'Way Low', and the joining of minds brings a dynamic duality to the track as the darkness of KRELD's vocals collides with the dainty breathless throws of Jófríður. Within the dark waters and swimmers' dancing, there is a creative mix of innocence, loneliness and despair that is reflected in KRELD's production. The coming together of two of Iceland's most promising musicians, 'Way Low' sets a high bar. - SJ
