Dutch electronic act Klyne have provided some of Europe's most thrillingly edgy melodies of 2015 already, with 'Paralyzed' and 'Entropy' both receiving huge props from radio and online tastemakers alike. 'Closer' is just as punchy. The duo of Nick Klein (vocals) and Ferdous Dehzad (production) have developed this knack for making very few elements work extremely hard for them. Take 'Closer', there's a wobbly bass undercurrent, a smattering of shattered synth and the sparsest percussion, but when tied together when Nick's smoothly expressive vocals, it transcends minimalism entirely and becomes the hair-raising dance-pop jam we always knew they had in their locker. - DC
