It feels odd saying that Kllo's new single 'Bolide' sounds as if a UK garage tape has been chewed up in the player, but we sincerely mean that in the nicest way, as the glitchy vocal samples sit beautifully distorted over a bed of electronics. Apparently inspired by Caribou’s One Love, it is a step away from their more straightforward dreamy electronics into a grittier house territory, and we love that the Australian cousin duo are giving a nod to the UK’s 90’s scene mixing in some classic drum machines. Announcing a string of dates down under, we want them to head over here and show us how its done. - SJ
