Having signed to Dirty Hit (The 1975, Wolf Alice) King Nun reveal their debut single 'Tulip', due 18 November on limited edition yellow 7” vinyl. Theo (vocals, guitar), James (guitar), Nathan (bass) and Caius (guitar) are all 18 years old and from London and this initial effort is a ripping, raucous affair that blends Theo's distorted vocal with hypnotic, Jack White-nodding riff work to create the relentless, punked-up cut. There's something of the pace and grittiness of Slaves in there and the melody pulls itself through alongside, showing the newcomers are more than just a noise outfit. Eyes on King Nun for what will undoubtedly be an intense and furious live experience. -G.O'B
