Bringing to mind the likes of Frankie Cosmos, Frank Ocean and Daniel Johnston, Kenji has appeared with an attention-grabbing debut cut that oozes effortless cool homogeneous to those aforementioned big-shots. With complete control and a languid, soporific flow, the Pennsylvania newcomer gets honest and soulful without losing edge in this first outing, which is complete with a gently catching chorus to get you coming back for more.
