Last week, iconic vocalist and Blonde Redhead founder KAZU, shared the epic news of her first ever solo offering. Lifted from her forthcoming Adult Baby album, 'Salty' is a shimmering take on minimalist electro-pop featuring contributions from Yellow Magic Orchestra's Ryuichi Sakamoto, Atoms For Peace percussionist Mauro Refosco and Son Lux drummer Ian Chang. Opening with a fluttering sequence of indeterminable, reversed guitar/synth loops, ticking beats and rich, organic percussion transport you far away from the claustrophobia of city life. Inspired in part by KAZU's part-time home of Elba Island off the West coast of Italy, 'Salty''s stunning visuals were also filmed here, depicting enviable scenes of rippling ocean at sunset and the jagged coastal landscape. -Holly Mullineaux
