Katie von Schleicher has shared a video for current single 'Midsummer'. Taken from her self-produced, full-length debut album Shitty Hits - out now via Full Time Hobby - the track is a subtly eerie, gently punching number which sways along with an effortless cool and contagious charm. Of the smile-inducing, DIY visuals the New Yorker explains, "The initial concept sprung from the video for Whitesnake's 'Is This Love'. We're making fun of the low-concept male rock video format, complete with intolerable guitar shredding, face making and a lovely yet narratively-undeveloped girlfriend. But I think we're upping the level of absurdity here: we have a horse." Appearing alongside confirmation of live dates, including a number with genre flag-bearers Big Thief, Katie von Schleicher is a name we're hoping to see a lot more of as we move towards 2018. -G.O'B
