Standing at the forefront of a wealth of promising Irish post-punk acts (including Fontaines D.C. and The Murder Capital) is Dundalk-based five-piece Just Mustard. Somehow making the unlikely combination of ethereal vocals and highly abrasive, experimental noise-guitar work in perfect harmony, the quintet have mastered a genre, which would make most sound engineers run for the hills. Writhing somewhere between the industrial chaos of their Irish contemporaries Girl Band, the whimsical shoegaze of The Cocteau Twins and the haunting trip-hop of Portishead, 'October' is an emotionally dense cut that's shrouded in darkness.
