This original mix of ‘Highland Park’ has just been dropped on the Sooo WET label. Just Baker is an LA-based producer, taking influence from different areas of LA on his 5-track debut EP Flower District. This one obviously focuses on the historic, northeast neighbourhood of Highland Park, reflecting the diversity of the area through a mix of original content and perfectly placed sampling. It creates a soundscape that is both danceable and expertly mixed to create a disco-inflected House tune that balances nostalgic rhythms and melodies with a modern sense of musicality. -Dan Peeke
