JASON NOLAN OPALS & BANONOS
Gorgeous, spectral, alternative pop is the name of the game here. Crystal clear production meets gentle, alluring vocals on ‘Opals & Banonos’ - the new cut from half-English/half-Malaysian producer Jason Nolan. With his songwriting roots in jazz, Nolan has used that influence to sublime effect on this latest effort. Lifted from his forthcoming EP The Wonder Years - ‘Opals & Banonos’ has an incredibly welcoming aura about it all. Originally cutting his teeth as a jazz flautist (no pun intended) - Jason Nolan has welded two worlds together seamlessly. Subtle, crisp electronic production is partnered with jazzy drum loops and Nolan’s soft, yet totally entrancing vocal work. The Wonder Years EP is set for release on Majestic Casual on 14th October - and it looks set to be a true work of art. You can catch up on the EP’s two previously released tracks on Jason Nolan’s SoundCloud, here. -JC
