Having promised that his album is on the way, young American musician Jack Larsen has given us a sneak peek at new material by releasing track 'Closer' early. It won’t feature on the album but we still think it’s worthy, showing off Larsen’s modern and smooth take on R&B as he mixes his expressive lyricism with a well-chosen sample from Alina Baraz. He also adds silky guests vocals from friend Abby Van Hiel, making the explicit lyrics sound like aural honey. Slightly more mature and intimate than his previous releases, 'Closer' certainly whets our appetite for the teased LP. -SJ
