Hugh are definitely one of the more interesting additions to the London popscene this past year. Hugh have proven just how adept they are at blending their electronic, altrnative, R&B and soul influences - recent cut 'Learn To Fall' is a beautiful example - but the most alluring thing about the four-piece is the deeply warming harmonies of twin vocalists Joshua Idehen and Izzy Brooks. This week, their juxtaposed tones entwine blissfully once more on new track, 'Almost Done, Almost There', with Idehen's thick, foggy boom perforated by Izzy's sugarsweet pop croon. It's another fine and exhilarating addition to the arsenal from a band who seem to relish in keeping us on our toes. - DC
