Hoops have revealed the latest track to be taken from their forthcoming self-titled EP, out 26 August via Fat Possum. The Indiana four-piece - Drew Auscherman (vox, guitar), Kevin Krauter (vox, bass), Keagan Beresford (vox, keys, guitar), and James Harris (drums) - set woozy, breezy acoustic guitars with a bumbling bass, shuffling drums and gossamer guitar riffs below reverb-drenched vocal work that winds away with a blissfully carefree attitude. 'Gemini' builds organically to its soloing climax and aligns the quartet with the likes of Real Estate and Day Wave. The perfect soundtrack to the summer we may yet enjoy. -G.O'B
