Cornwall's Hockeysmith have been hovering under the radar for a while now. Originally comprising of sisters Annabel and Georgie Hockeysmith, their 2014 EP But Blood made a firm impression on us through their unique combination of noisy guitars and acid house-inspired synths. Taking sole creative control in 2017 Annabel has since taken the project in an almost exclusively electronic direction. Returning today with the dazzling 'Hyper Kobra', fizzy drum machines tickle trancey synthesizers that wouldn't sound out of place on the Trainspotting soundtrack as Annabel's cooly delivered vocals guide the way through a fogged out dance floor.
