Australian singer-songwriter Hazel English still hasn't announced a proper release of an album or EP, but the steady stream of uploads to her SoundCloud page suggests that something more tangible could well be imminent. 'Fix' follows English's divine 'It's Not Real' and her debut track 'Never Going Home' in creating a spellbinding jangle-heavy indie-pop atmosphere, similar to current contemporary Day Wave and her more established peers Real Estate and Youth Lagoon. There's something of a different era about Hazel English, whether it's the sepia-toned photography or the almost pastoral tinge to her guitar playing, we feel transported to a wholesome, sunblushed world before smart phones and Netflix and endless Tinder swiping existed.
