When we see the words Heavenly Recordings here at TMR, there's usually a very good chance we're going to like it. The brand new single from Australian singer/songwriter Hatchie (aka Harriette Pilbeam) is no exception. Following her gauzy 2018 EP Sugar & Spice, 'Without A Blush' is the first single from Hatchie's debut album Keepsake. Dragging shoegaze kicking and screaming out of the nineties, 'Without A Blush' makes some fairly obvious nods to the era's greatest exports, combining the ethereal vocal style of Bilinda Butcher with the whimsical nature of the Cocteau Twins. Bringing the track bang-up-date with a bouncing synth bass line and a heavily-processed drum machine, it's Hatchie's euphoric chorus that takes it to the next level, making it the ultimate tune to pour your heart out to. Keepsake will arrive on 21st of June. -Holly Mullineaux
