'Lights Out', the marvellously dusky debut song from London's Hannah Lucia's went strangely unnoticed by us when it first dropped some seven months ago. Luckily, there were plenty of other more astute listeners - 40,000 of them, to be precise - and that's given Hannah the platform to release her second song this week. 'Don't Hold Out' isn't exactly "more of the same", rather similar motifs are developed further, with an extra layer of gloss applied to the vocals, bass with a more instinctively groove and shimmering pop synths all elevating Lucia's sound to that of her UK R&B peers. - DC
