We've had our mitts on Grace Mitchell's new Raceday EP for a few weeks now, as will any other Apple Music users, but for those without the service, 'Bae' may well be the first encounter with Portland's hottest new act. A sweat-flecked pop nugget which opens with a thunderous bass line and palpitating beat, 'Bae' develops into something far more sultry with the addition of Mitchell's glossy hook ("He loves me like his loud / He knows what I'm about") and its counterweight in S.Pri Noir's laidback Francophone rapping. 'Bae' is easily our second most played track on the record after the stunning, unpredictable 'Jitter'. - DC
