Goldteeth has recently dropped his self-titled debut EP, with the single ‘Doin Better’ building hype for a couple of months. Opening the album, ‘The Thunder’, is a huge attention grabbing track, with stunning vocals from Hannah Yadi complimenting the excellent musicianship, songwriting and production. Of course, it can’t be ignored that Goldteeth (real name Andy Nicholson) is the man behind the bass on Arctic Monkey’s debut album, but his recent contributions to hip-hop and album production prove his diverse musical abilities which are reflected in this brilliant EP. He says: “As a song, it came really quick. I remember writing the guitar part to the drums and thinking this could be something, then Yadi & I wrote and recorded the vocals in the same day”. - Dan Peeke
