Yet in contrast to the relaxed, soulful tones heard in ‘All Falls Down’ and ‘Cold Call Lover’, Goldsmoke’s latest release, ‘Where Do We Go’, is a shameless and glorious slice of nostalgia. Snappy percussion, hypnotic synths and an irresistibly funky bassline come together to create a brilliant homage to the 80s. What makes ‘Where Do We Go’ stand out, however, is the brilliant addition of sharp production and soulful vocals.
