Girl Ray have revealed a new single, 'Stupid Things'. The North London-based, Moshi Moshi-signed three-piece are making a name for themselves thanks to their swooning, loungey and wholly smile-inducing brand of indie, which blends a characteristic vocal with warm and timeless instrumentation and production. Of this latest number, lead vocalist and guitarist Poppy Hankin said, "It’s about crushing really hard on someone, and finding myself doing fucking ridiculous things to feel like we've got some kind of connection. Watching films that they mentioned fleetingly or ordering their favourite drink at a bar. Very stupid but happens every single time, ha ha". Nothing stupid about this one at all. -G.O'B
