Rising Brighton trio Our Girl have just unleashed their most impressive track to date on tastemaker label Cannibal Hymns. The self-titled offering was produced by Bill Ryder-Jones of The Coral fame and it's a modern-day shoegaze banger of truly epic proportions. The washy guitars on 'Our Girl' scream Loveless-era My Bloody Valentine throughout the verses before bursting into some heavier indie-leaning riffs for the chorus and then stripping it right back to some beautifully ambient picking towards the end. The drums and bass remain loud and sturdy throughout, providing the perfect backbone to singer Soph Nathan's smoky yet melodic vocals.
