Opening with such an addictive, thick, bouncing bassline allows G.Zamora to stick with and expand the catchy riff over the course of 7 minutes without it becoming repetitive. The minimalistic layering of instruments turns ‘Forest’s Wind’ into some kind of modern ‘Bolero’, full of electronic twists and turns. The mix is perfectly balanced, with filters and panning adding subtle points of interest without interfering with the thick texture. By the time the luscious pads appear towards the end of the tune, it takes on an otherworldly vibe that, when combined with the occasional processed vocal sample, make the track sound almost alien. - Dan Peeke
