Footshooter has dropped ‘Mars’ from his upcoming Technicolour Lights EP through YAM Records. The London-based producer has been described as able to "combine samples and beats to create a sound with nods to 2-step, dub, house, hip-hop and broken beat" and this genre blend comes across in ‘Mars’. Funky bass and syncopated rhythms provide the beat for the unique semi-spoken/rapped/sung vocals of And Is Phi that take centre stage. These "dulcet emcee and Rhodes tones with a meditative jungle groove" come after a summer of well received live DJ sets and performances. -Dan Peeke
