Australia really is getting a name for itself as a breeding ground for spun out psych bands. After the likes of Tame Impala and Pond, their latest export is Flyying Colours, a band all about mind-altering guitars and far out melodies. The four piece release their debut album, Mindfulness, today via AC30 and we wonder if the spiralling tracks are a nod or a finger to the newest meditative techniques. Either way, new video for album track ‘Longest Holiday' provides some jangling release as the harmonies wash over again and again in blissful waves. Having already toured with label mates pinkshinyultrablast and legendary psych kings Brian Jonestown Massacre, this foursome are in full swing. - SJ
