Melbourne band Flimsey Lohan crafted their sound playing at friends' house parties, before progressing onto proper gigs, and then into the studio to set their playful and natural jazz-hop style. With the exception of one track ‘Sweet Tooth’, shared a year ago, Flimsey Lohan bring us their first real taste of what’s to come. ‘Eternal Life’ may be a ploy to get fans to buy them beer, but it’s also a great track that jovially points out that we’re all flawed and to blame for our mistakes, so let’s all just make the best of it because eternal life isn’t really a thing. At least that’s one interpretation of the track which melds jazz instrumentation and Australian hip-hop into a style that’s bouncing, witty and original.
