FEET OUTER RIM

Never ones to take themselves too seriously, FEET have added yet another track to their ongoing list of bouncy singles dropping in support of their interestingly titled upcoming debut album What’s Inside Is More Than Just Ham. ‘Outer Rim’ is a noisy exploration of indie rock, with an element of punk coming from the pounding drum pattern, distorted guitar lines and shouts of “oi!”. When the chorus comes around, FEET show off their uncanny ability to combine catchy pop hooks with the crunchy, dissonant accompaniment that rings out beneath. Of the track and its surreal video, the band state “the song started out under the alias Prang Meets Pong Meets Peng Meets Ping, since those were the only viable adjectives at the time with which we could describe it. We soon came around to rationality and scrapped the whole bastard thing. Using the remaining debris, the song was soon reinvigorated into a punky-boi, with lyrical inspiration coming from seeing a shooting star whilst at our summer retreat”. - Dan Peeke
