Black Butter-signed singer/songwriter Elderbrook has grown a sturdy rep for crafting densely textured, but utterly accessible electronic pop over the last year or so. Alex Kotz's latest cut, 'Be There Soon', confirms that there's absolutely no doubt he belongs on BB, a label which prides itself on this sort of soul-infused beatmaking, think Rudimental, Gorgon City et al. Twanging guitars and organic percussion entwine as Kotz delivers an adoring love letter to his bae with a deep, rumbling vocal that's smoother than melted chocolate. Lush. - DC
