EGYPTIAN BLUE TO BE FELT

Having witnessed first-hand their explosive set supporting newly established TMR favourites Squid at The Brixton Windmill on Saturday, we were delighted to uncover a new track from Egyptian Blue. The Brighton via Colchester outfit's new single 'To Be Felt' is a blast of dingy punk that toes the line between Shame's exhilarating indie snarl and Ought's post-punk-inspired bass grooves. The vocal hook of the song, 'To be half-asleep and half-awake all the time', addresses the band's sense of detachment from reality in a world that feels increasingly isolating. 'To Be Felt' is out now on Brighton label Permanent Creeps. - Holly Mullineaux
