Jangly pop outfit Ducks Unlimited have dropped the fantastic new single ‘Anhedonia’ today. There is a distinct sound of 80s indie throughout the track, with noticeably lo-fi production adding to its charm. The catchy melodies are used to tell a story of “unable to wring any joy out of the things that are important to you, and the general feeling of emotional deadness that I think most people experience sometimes”. The lead vocal demonstrates a unique, almost intentionally monotone voice which adds perfectly to the track’s focus. Alongside this tune, the band have signed to Bobo Integral and are dropping a four track EP Get Bleak at the end of November. - Dan Peeke
