Today, we’d like to introduce you to Dua Saleh, the Minneapolis-based artist originally hailing from Sudan and who’s original music has intrigued us to take a closer look at this under-the-radar name. The track that sparked our interest is ‘Warm Pants’, a dynamic take on hip-hop, soul, funk and the blurred boundaries of genre in between. Her earthy drawl is full of intensity and longing as she demands “I need you now”, over a deep groove and haunting atmosphere. What’s great about this track is the twists and turns it takes along the way, from soulful opening, through to punk-attitude verses, and intricate beatwork vibes.
