DRAHLA STIMULUS FOR LIVING

Rising Leeds trio and Captured Tracks signings Drahla have just revealed the environmentally-aware lead track from their highly-anticipated debut album Useless Coordinate. 'Stimulus For Living' is yet another slice of wiry post-punk with thundering drums, thudding bass and highly-experimental guitar riffs set off by the eerie presence of a brooding saxophone. Directly contrasting the beauty of nature against the ugliness of manmade issues, vocalist Luciel Brown begs the question, "Have you ever seen the sun in cellophane? Security check with a violet sunset?" before making the worrying but true statement. "There's plastic in the atmosphere." Useless Coordinates will be released on the 3rd of May. -Holly Mullineaux
