‘Ezequiel’ is the latest tune from Mexican producer Diazar. As with the rest of the Paradigm EP from Steyoyoke that it is a part of, this tune has an ethereal, otherworldly nature to its visceral, introspective sound. The transitions between quiet, bass-led sections and funky, full, melody driven sections are subtle but effective, while the blend of lo-fi snare sounds and delicate, crisp melodies is perfect. Diazar rose through the ranks of the Mexican Yucatan peninsula, eventually playing in the area’s most prominent clubs and making a name for himself amongst the local scene. - Dan Peeke
