Denzel Himself dropped a number of DIY releases before collaborating with the independent label LuckyMe in 2018. In both his music and self-directed videos, there always lies gothic undertones. His new video for 'ride' is no exception, shot in monochrome in a cemetery, where Denzel mimes the words from the song in an intense manner, looking straight into the camera and pacing as he points accusingly. He goes on to interact with a man wearing a surgical mask, intensifying the menacing nature of the video, and mirroring the edgy melodies in the track.
