DEATHCRASH PEOPLE THOUGHT MY WINDOWS WERE STARS

Brought to us by Untitled Recs, who recently released the boldly original debut album by Jerskin Fendrix, in collaboration with fellow underground London label Blank Editions‘People thought my windows were stars’ is the latest track from London post-rock band deathcrash. Taking their listeners on an emotive journey, the 15 minute track progresses from fragile minimalism to voluminous, shoegaze-inspired noise as the track reaches a cathartic climax. Characterised by vocalist/guitarist Tiernan Banks' intimate vocal style, 'People thought my windows were stars' uses carefully selected samples to support its subtly reassuring message. The band explain: "Whether or not the words manage this, we felt that the song gets across a sense of hopefulness. Musically and lyrically, this track seems to sum up fairly well what a lot of our songs are about, and so it seemed like a good place to start." -Holly Mullineaux
