Currently on tour with guitar royalty Johnny Marr, Crewel Intentions, the new project from ex-Palma Violets front man Chilli Jesson, have revealed a dramatic new cut and a cinematic video to match. The almost-eponymous track opens with an inconspicuous drum machine, euphoric choirs and statement guitar strums that indicate something special is about to start. Descending into a heart-wrenching Americana-esque ballad, ‘Cruel Intentions’ is the band’s most accomplished offering to date, building in intensity before tumbling into a moving outro reminiscent of Nick Cave’s brooding masterpieces.
