The Comet Is Coming started turning heads last year when the Hackney-based cosmic-jazz trio's debut album Channel The Spirits was nominated for the Mercury Prize alongside the likes of David Bowie, Skepta and Radiohead. 'Start Running' is the first taste of their much anticipated new EP Death To The Planet arriving on the 22nd of April as part of Record Store Day via The Leaf Label. The six and a half minute explorative track combines free jazz with the sound of extreme darkness as the band discuss, "The track sounds pretty fiery, like a crackling and smouldering soundtrack to the apocalypse.
