Described as having the backbone of Shuggie Otis, the head of Serge Gainsbourg, and the cinematic aura of Vangelis, the new incarnation of Club Kuru - a project lead by Laurie Erskine - comes together from a collective love of 60's and 70's American RnB, soul music melodies and 7" 45s breaks. 'Not For Me' is the first taste of new material from the five-piece and comes ahead of soon to be confirmed special London shows and a slot at X&Y Festival in Liverpool on 9-10 June.
