Mike Halls, Evelyn Halls, Saul Godman and Ross Higginson are better known as the hirsute Liverpudlian quartet Clean Cut Kid, whose debut tracks 'Vitamin C' and 'Twenty Years From Now' were all over daytime radio, as well as these very pages. The Scousers have kicked on from those early efforts with a sparkling new track, 'Runaway', out last Friday. This one has Radio 1 stamped all over it, with rattling beats, sundrenched guitar tones and the sort of Magic Numbers-meets-Friendly Fires buoyancy that would bring a smile to the face of even their sternest of critics. - DC
