CLAVVS SIT YOU DOWN

Having mostly dabbled with - really rather good - covers of Chris Isaak and Rae Sremmurd in the past, Atlanta band CLAVVS - they were just CLAWS, until a recent distinguishing name change - are starting to find their own sound. Pitching somewhere between Disclosure's bubbly electronic-pop and BANKS' billowing balladry, 'Sit You Down' is their strongest original effort to-date, with singer Amber Renee's timeless, glossy hook shining over Graham Marsh's throbbing production. Sure it's super-poppy, but there's a febrile current running through 'Sit You Down' which keeps CLAVVS rooted in the underground. - DC
