Released through JUST-IS records, Burning Dub is the debut EP from Chief Rockas, and a welcome return to vintage roots reggae. After being inspired to produce an authentic EP after being in a “studio surrounded by a tonne of vintage production gear”, you can see how ‘Satta Dub’ turned this collective’s goal into an exceptionally exciting reality. The mostly instrumental, lo-fi track combines reverb heavy snares, offbeat chopped guitar chords and a winding bassline to create an authentic 70s sound that captures everything great about the genre. -Dan Peeke
