CHELSEA EFFECT GOOD ENOUGH

Shadowy new project Chelsea Effect take their name from the legendary Hotel Chelsea in New York, which has played host to everyone from Bob Dylan and Janis Joplin to Allen Ginsberg and Dylan Thomas in its century-plus lifetime. 'Good Enough' is the band's first offering - a potent, head-turning electronic-pop number underpinned by vocalist Emerald Isabella's dramatic croon, it was produced by Troye Sivan collaborator Bram Inscore and mixed by Andrew Maury, known for his work with RAC and Rockaway Beach stars-in-the-making, Lewis Del Mar. Specifically, the name relates to an Arthur Miller piece (The Chelsea Affect) which directly enthused life in the hotel during the '60s and the impact it had on popular culture. Don't bet against this new wave leaving a mark in the history books. - DC
