Friday saw the release of Washington's favourite indie girl gang Chastity Belt's third album I Used to Spend So Much Time Alone and to celebrate, the band have shared an excellent new video for the partial title track 'Used to Spend'. Both song and video start out pretty mellow, capturing shots of the band chilling out in their respective bedrooms as semi-spoken vocals drift over haunting washed out chords, before the drums kick in, bringing with them a cascade of melodic fuzz for the chorus. It's at this point that the girls begin suiting up for a day at the races, each member sporting a different coloured bomber jacket, kinda like trendy power rangers. - HLMX
